This sconce was not up when I showed you my hallway way back last November (see the post here).
I bought a pair for either side of the Butler's Pantry cabinetry. What I love is the mirrored back plate reflecting the sconce and doubling the effect. Great for a hallway.
I just want to say a big "THANK YOU" to Blogger and all of my wonderful readers. Without you all, I would not have realized I really had to clean up all of the junk mail, catalogs, magazines, notepads, used batteries, old receipts, school papers, yellow pages, rubber bands, ( how do they get everywhere?!?) off the counter before I could take this picture:
The sconces are from Hudson Valley Lighting. Hudson Valley is known for their reproduction light fixtures and their very reasonable pricing. To find out more about the details for this sconce, click here. Oh....and thank you to Hudson Valley for the very cool sconces!

Hudson Valley has wonderful things and this sconce is a great example. I love the warmth of it. Pretty!
Timely post for us....hitting a brick wall on 4 sets of sconces for my daughters house in San Marino. I'ts 1927 Revival of good size. We are doing everything to keep its integrity but add a current feel. Your link will be shared with my daughter tomorrow. Thank you. Now....about that beautiful butler's pantry!!! You have wonderful style....love it! Ginny
Love your hallway!

THose sconces are KILLER!

I LOVE your butler's pantry and the sconces look just PERFECT!
What a gorgeous space!
Katie - I have to tell you - this butler pantry is perfection - better than any magazine I've drooled over for years, seriously - it is just perfect. You did a wonderful job! Now, about that punch bowl.........can I "borrow" it? I really have to have it!!!!
Joni
they are wonderful and wonderful sconces are hard to find. From one designer to another, really nice job!
Katie,
The sconces are amazing but that butlers pantry is to SWOON for! Be still my heart. I love it.

How I love sconces! I bought a beautiful pair earlier in the year, but have not hung them because we were seriously thinking about moving, and I did not want to have a potential buyer insist that they be sold with the house (they were custom made, one of a kind).
Now we are in limbo land...will move if we can find a great house for a great price...but still not sure if I should hang those sconces...
Beautiful home you have!
Katie, Those sconces are not what would have expected there...and that's exactly what I like abou them! Your use of mirrors on the backboard, and the glass doors, the glass knobs of the cabinets and the door knobs, all lead to the sconces having the mirrored back. Plus, this gives it a dash of modern too! I love them! (and I didn't see anything wrong with the lived in look of the pantry counter before. We all know we "bus the counters for photos!") Ha!
Hi Pamela! I like Hudson Valley too, mostly for the great pricing. There are things that are great for older homes.
Hi Ginny! San Marino! My old stomping grounds. Alot of my school mates lived in San Marino, right next door to Pasadena. Your daughter's house sounds great!
Thnaks guys for all of your kind comments!
Joni- I know you have a great punch bowl of your own! I was thinking I may have to steal your idea of putting photos in it. :)
TTI I know what you mean! You could put them up while you are there and get some inexpensive Home Depot ones to replace them when you put your house on the market. Thanks for visiting! :)
Hi Kevin- you are very observant, just like me! Sometimes it takes me forever to decide on things because I am looking for just the right thing to make it come together. And because I like so many different things, it can be difficult to blend styles. I had other things in mind too, but the projection had to be very minimal so as not to encroach into the doorways here. But I likes the sparkle these added, like you noted....all the little bits of glass...come together. Like a puzzle to figure out...fun!
Ok...I am loving your sconces. And that built in, wow...It looks like it has been there as long as the house! The mirror inside it is a grand idea...and the sconces just make the whole thing shine!!
Bravo!!
The last photo is just lovely! What a great butler pantry, I love it!
I hope you have had a great weekend and that you are looking forward to this coming week:-

Oh, I just love those sconces! Clicked through to Hudson Valley to check out their catalog. I've had such a tough time finding new/"old" fixtures, so thanks for the hot tip. :-) Your Birthday Room Redo post was incredible...I can't wait to see the finished product!
Lovely scones!
I do believe I have pantry envy!
It is gorgeous. You selected the perfect sconces to complement your cabinetry.
I have book marked Hudson Valley. I appreciate the introduction.
