Thanks to all of you who have been patiently waiting for pictures of my daughter's room! It is finally in a state where pictures can be taken. I had been waiting to find the right, affordable lamps, hang the sheers at the windows and on the bed, and to hang a bit of art on the walls. And while it is still a work in progress (every room in our house always is), it has turned out to be rather pretty. The most important thing is that she loves it.
Some of you have asked where things were found or purchased. So here we go: The bed is from IKEA and we painted it white. The bedside chests are from Bungalow 5. Lamps are from Home Depot ( I know!). The little suzani I found on ebay. The sweet portrait I found at a flea market and looks so much like my daughter.
The rug is from West Elm (no longer available). Sheets and Duvet Cover were from PBteen. Sheers were from IKEA. Matelisse Bedspread and Shams were from Crate and Barrel.
Dresser was from Jayson Home and Garden. Lamps on the dresser are vintage. Mirror is from the Nate Berkus Collection on HSN. Coral "sconces" are from Urban Outfitters. Louis Ghost Chair is from DWR.
If you check here, you can see the ideas that we had when putting the room together. It came pretty close I think!
So there you have it!

It's stunning! Love everything! The lamps are gorgeous :) The suzani is also fantastic.
What a great, inspirational room! I have been looking forward to this post as I have pre-teen daughters who will probably need a more sophisticated look in the near future. I love the Bungalow 5 side tables, and the HD lamps are fabulous!
Your daughter is one lucky girl.
It came out beautifully. That suzani was a sweet find. I can see why she loves it! Job very well done!
What a perfectly beautiful room you have created here for your daughter! I know you've been working overtime on it. BTW - You are driving me to ebay right now to look for my own suzani - it adds so much to the room. This is perfectly composed - just gorgeous.

I have bought lamps at Home Depot/or Lowe's too! I'm always pleasantly surprised to find something chic there!

You are wildly talented. It's beautiful (and cool): cooliful.
Katie, you did a phenomenal job! Your daughter is so lucky! I love all of the furniture and accessories you chose. Will you come do my room? :)
Katie! What a lucky girl to have such a talented mama like you. Beautiful room.
The suzani is just perfect! I remember how much I loved my teenage bedroom. It is Soooo important!! Well done!!
I love it! The rug, the bed, the canopy, the paint, the morrocan mirror. Everything goes well together. You did well, except for the clear chair, it's too much for a child or a teenager's room.
Wow! You are all so very kind! Thank you, thank you!
We had fun making all of the choices.
Tarheel...I must confess...the fabric on that pillow is a sample of fabric that I have on order for some throw pillows and not quite a "real" pillow. Yet. Always a work in progress!
And Mona! Thanks for visitng! The chair was actually appropriated from another room by my oh-so-sophisticated daughter who loves it. Very glam. It sort of floats around the house as needed for dinner parties or extra seating.
Thank you all for keeping up with the bedroom saga and for coming to visit my blog. It really makes my day when you all take the time to comment.
This room is breathtaking. I love that you went bold with contrast and color!
you need to put this in a magazine! I am dying how cute this!!! The suzani just makes it. I want to copy this right now!!!! omg - too cute!!!
What an amazing room!! I would have died to grow up in a room like that when I was younger. What a lucky daughter!!
Just perfect! I'm sure that she (and her friends) are thrilled with it.
