House Beautiful February 2007, Photo by Jeff McNamara
I was just looking through some old magazines and came across this photo of designer Faye Cone's Master Bedroom. I thought is was very amusing to have a chicken wake you up in the morning while you overlook a Manhattan skyline. Attribute my amusement to a very quirky sense of humor.

*** Katie-girl, I thought the EXACT SAME THING~~~~ it's soooo unexpected and DEEEEELIGHTFUL!!!! (And it actually "goes" with everything too!!!)~~ Yep, a "GOOOOOD FIND!"~~~ Best, Linda in AZ ***
(P.S. I was interested in the fabric, so enlarged the pic... can you tell us more about it? It's toooo wonderful!!!~~~ And funny thing, & I'm sure it's NOT by "accident", that it AND the rooster are "feathery"... SOOOO FUN n' yet "polished" at the same time!)~~~
I agree. Hilarious and charming.
Hi Linda/Mom!
Glad you like! The fabric is Jack Lenor Larsen's Snowdrift. You are right! It is feathery. :)
Glad you stopped in LPE!
That rooster has ATTITUDE (positive)--and he's a great reminder of what we all need to wake up with(even when we are dragging to that first cup of coffee). Thanks--love it!
I must have that quirky humor too. I like it.
Faye Cone is one of my most FAVORITE people in the world and I am so happy to know her. We met on a trip a few years ago in Sweden and have been in love ever since.
I am lucky enough to have been to her FAB apartment in NY a few times. Faye- you are the BEST! LOVE YOU!
i love this pic !!!
cockle doodle doo, 5th avenue !
Grant! You are so lucky to know her. I love her apartment too. She and I see eye to eye on what makes a great home: lots of comfort, style and a heavy dose of humor!
