Collections at the Fair

I can't help it. I am an Antique Faire lurker. The Sacramento Antique Faire happens every second Saurday of the month, and it is mere blocks from my house. It would be almost criminal not to attend....wouldn't it?
I am in San Francisco for a couple of days, so I thought I would leave you with a few images of collections from the last Sacramento Antique Faire:

And then there was this wicker bench that was calling my name. I couldn't just ignore it. That would have been rude. So home it came where it is sitting on by back porch.

See you Friday with some great things from San Francisco!!!

Katie - these are great, great images. They make me want to be there. Then have lemonade on the new wicker loveseat.

Katie,
I went to the faire last weekend and the small bottle in the first photo was still there and nearly came home with me, and one of those seltzer bottles is now on a table in my family room. I love the collections that the vendor in the first pic. brings each month. I could just hitch their trailer to my car and take it all home with me :) You missed a nice weekend at the faire, probably the last decent weather for a few months! Looking forward to seeing what you found in the city....

Flea markets are great, aren't they! Don't forget to show us some pictures of your new found treasure sitting pretty in your yard! Have a great time in San Francisco.

Those shots remind of brimfield. I live so close and have yet to make it to this market. Looks like I am missing out.

I can totally see the collection of small jars on display. In fact, I also have a perfect black display desk for it. It's really a pity that I don't live in Sacramento. But I look forward to seeing these pieces in actual design.

Hi Katie!

I only started going to this fair just last month. This past Sunday was my second time. For some odd reason I never had the desire to attend. However, after reading your blog about the fair I decided to visit and now I'm hooked. I'm already anxious for the July fair come. This past Sunday my partner dan found a Herend figurine which is the rust colored netting pair of ducks dated 1927. It was in perfect condition. He paid only $5.00 for it. It was apparent the young man had no idea about Herend. I found it online appraised for around $420.00. That was such a great find.

What great photos! Feel like I was there. I love the way the fired bowls absorb the sunlight, and the marbles reflected it...oh that California sun!
