Thanks so much for posting about this extraordinary man who overcame so many of his personal flaws and many tragedies to become what he was destined to become--a true patriot, legislator and voice of the common man. I am a saddened by his passing.
Sad news indeed. I hadn't seen this tribute - thanks for the link.
Touching! Godspeed Senator.

A Champion for all people.
Heartwarming to hear the many candid stories, moments of his life, off camera. He was so much more than his political persona; a great human being who grew from each challenge he faced.
i know, so so sad. i just pulled out a photo that i almost forgot i had (i obtained it in 1982, when i was about 16) after visiting his office in washington (my dad worked in d.c.) and senator kennedy signed a photo of himslef, to me with my name and a short comment and then dated it. i'll have it framed now in my in my more grown up life with a new appreciation for sure.
He was a man of compassion and he will be sorely missed.
He acquitted himself beautifully in the end; sometimes in tragedy comes renewal. We are poorer for having lost him.
Isn't she smashing? She gave him happy years and I believe he adored her. She clearly did him. Beautiful home. Not ostentatious, just beautiful and comfortable.
