With the warm (hot!) weather we get in Sacramento in the summer, I am always drawn to anything that looks fresh and breezy. So I was very happy when Charlotte Mills, sent me a little note to introduce herself and her line of bedding and lounge wear to me. Plum Pretty Sugar is the name of the line Charlotte creates from fabrics she has found in India, and they are nothing if not wonderfully fresh and beautiful.
They remind me of something from Designer's Guild or John Robshaw, but with a price point that is much more in the realm of possibility for most of us. Duvet Covers range in price from $100 to $190 depending on fabric and size. Shams are approximately $50/pair.
This Paisley print I am thinking about for myself! I love white and brown together, and this would be perfect for my Guest Room!
And this Indian Pink print may end up in one of my girls' rooms. Sigh. I am feeling that way one feels when they spread a newly laundered sheet on a bed and it is smooth and cool.
Charlotte shows her bedding, robes, lounge wear, dresses and accessories through her Etsy shop, here. You can find her full line, but here are a couple of teasers for you:
Tunic Dress/Top, $68
Kimono Style Robe, $70
I hope you have a chance to visit and get to know Charlotte and her beautiful things!
Have a Fresh and Breezy Weekend!

I love how the crisp white acts as a foil for the intense colors in Mills' Beckoning Creatures. The strong colors feel light and airy; just the thing for a warm summer evening.
Reminds me a bit of Jacinthe dinnerware from Gien France. He also uses white to set off strong colors in a floral pattern.
Could be a trend?
great source, thanks for sharing...will go take a peek at her site.
Beautiful fresh fabrics. I am currently transitioning from chinese blue and white bedding (a 20-year love affair) to reds so the newness of this bedding strikes a chord. Thanks, as always.
I love all of these!
The Etsy link didn't work by the way. ;)
Have a fresh and breezy weekend yourself! :)
I am seeing a lot of this sort of thing too, but I think she's got it right with her choice of patterns, colors and price point. That brown and white paisley is very fetching indeed!
ok...now I am very jealous of your California living...very pretty...the robe is darling!
Best,
Michelle
The bedroom is incredible. I love the paper and how it blends with the bend to make almost a whimsical story book like atmosphere. This bedroom looks and feels like another world.
That second bedroom is one for the history books. Lovely.
I am so thrilled to see these. i am looking for some new bedding. Colours are absolutely brilliant and certainly fresh and breezy. off to visit Plum Pretty Sugar.
I need to LIVE in that kimono robe!
no matter how I try, I just can't get into patterns. especially juxtaposing multiple patterns like this. ick
