Introductions Are In Order

Meet Nullah, our newest little diva. She has an "on" switch and an "off" switch. So please forgive the photo quality. I am dealing with a subject who just cannot hold a pose, unless she is in the "off" position.

She immediately let us know that the floor was not her idea of an appropriate resting place.

But Cooper quickly started to show her the ropes. Notice that he has been relegated to the cold hard floor. Such a nice big brother.

"Off" switch. She is so tuckered out from racing around the yard, eating the flowers from all of the flower beds, trying out all of the upholstery items, and redecorating our Family Room to a very "Zen" look, that the floor was OK. But just this once.

She is learning quickly the best spots to watch Tim make dinner. Cooper is turning out to be the perfect big brother.

I hope to get some better pictures soon. My computer had a tiny meltdown, (hence the the slow down in posts....well that, and the new puppy!) and my previous photo editing program is no longer functioning. This is my first shot at using Picasa. I am finding that when manipulating/editing photos, the resolution gets worse and worse. Picasa looked like it would be great at first, but not happy with the results so far. Maybe it's me. Anyone have any tips? Anyone have any tips?

Oh,how perfectly wonderful!! This reminds me so much of Edward and Apple the day we brought Apple home!

Congratulations on your new addition, Katie! Nullah is precious. I love the pictures of her sleeping. I can totally relate to blurry puppy pictures. Tate can't sit still either and he hates the little light on my camera, so he always looks away.

Cute, cute puppy! And a beautiful big brother too!
I have never used Picasa so can't speak to what its pros and cons are but I have been having really good luck with Piknik... although I don't think it has as many features as some other photo editors might. I'm so new at this I don't really need anything too sophisticated yet.
Good luck!

oops! I think I misspelled it... Picnik. See, so new and non-techy I don't even know what I'm using!

Nullah is sooo precious! What is the age difference between Cooper and her? Was there a transition period? Thank you for sharing, I love dogs! :)

She's adorable and looks so cute and tiny next to Cooper. I went through the same thing last year when we added Jade to our family and let me tell you females are a lot harder than males. I'm happy to inform that she loves her big brother Tazer and not one day goes by without her making laugh or test me.

Thanks so much everyone! We are totally smitten. She is definitely a handful, but there is never a dull moment. SAhe makes us laugh everyday, and we are getting alot more exercise keeping up. Nullah is a red tri-color Australian Shepherd that came from a litter of eight pups, not one like the other. There was a blue merle, three black tri-colors, and three red merles, and Nullah. Nullah was not for sale at first. The owner was going to keep her, but when the connection between Nullah and our family became obvious, the owner called us and offered her. We were thrilled, and nervous, and all of those things youfeel when adding to your family. We are still finding our "groove", and there have been lots of changes to the house to "puppy-proof" but we arealso having lots of fun. She is VERY smart.....but then every parent thinks that, don't they? And a little rascal.

Some have asked where the name came from. If anyone saw the movie "Australia" with Nicole Kidman, the little boy in the movie stole the show. His name was Nullah. We all loved his character and courage. And he was adorable. We thought it was fitting for our new little Aussie girl as well.

Hopefully I will have better pictures soon!

Thanks again for all of your well wishes. It was so nice to hear from you all. It makes my day! :)

I love the picture of Cooper and Nullah napping next to each other with their paws out to the side! Our little one always follows the big one! They are just the bestest of friends and it looks like yours are already that way too! So exciting to have a new puppy!
