HOLIDAY GIVE AWAY!

Four of the six pre-designed Martha Stewart Holiday Cards

I thought it quite fitting that I start out my Holiday Season doing something that I find the most heartwarming this time of year: the giving of gifts.

There is something about finding the perfect thing for each person on my list and wrapping it just so that puts my heart in the spirit of the season. This will be my third Yuletide of writing katiedid, and I thought it was high time that I show you all my appreciation for your visits and comments over the last few years. I enjoy putting out katiedid so much and you all make it all so worth it!

Crane Stationary in partnership with Martha Stewart, has been very kind in working with me to bring you a very special gift. What could be better than Crane, an American company that has helped us with our holiday cards, bridal stationary and invitations since 1801, joining with the doyen of holiday entertaining to create the new Martha Stewart Stationary Collection for this Holiday Season? This Collection includes a line of beautiful, personalized holiday cards and invitations, and pre-designed boxed cards available now through select Crane stationers and Crane's Website HERE.

Calligraphy Santa, inside message: "to be jolly"

I am so excited about this give away! Typically, the Boxed Holiday cards come in sets of 10 cards of one design in their beautiful light blue Crane box and are priced at $20. But for this give away, I worked with Crane to put together a special box of twenty cards with envelopes, made up of four different designs (five each). Isn't that kind of great?!

Peace, inside message: "on Earth"

So, I will be sending out this box of Holiday Cheer to a randomly selected reader and this is all you have to do:

Leave a comment of your own thoughts on Holiday Cheer, be they family gatherings, decorating, food, travel, or any special thing that puts you in the spirit. I will pick a winner at random and announce the winner the day after Thanksgiving, November 27th, 2009!

Calligraphy Tree, inside message: 'Celebrate the Holidays with a flourish"

So please don't forget to check back!!!! I will be needing an email from the winner so I will know where to send your gift!

Under the Sea, inside message: "Wintertide. Christmastide. Yuletide. Hope they're All Merry!"

And thank you so much for coming to visit me at katiedid. I look forward to your comments everyday, and appreciate you all so very much.

I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and a Prosperous New Year!!

These are so beautiful, what else would I expect from both Crane and Martha!
I think my favorite part of the season is catching up with friends that I don't neccesarily talk to often -sending cards is very important to me. And they're so fun to receive and decorate my hallway table with!

My favorite part is the belly-aching laughs that fill a room when you get everyone together. And the desserts, of course :)

My favorite part about Christmas is getting out all the boxes and bins of decorations and going through all the ornaments and whatnot. I love when I find something I completely forgot I had, or stumbling upon something that has so many memories tied to it.

What a fantastic marriage! That calligraphy santa card is kind of perfect! I love the fluid script and the old world charm that the image evokes. I'm trying to get in the holiday spirit, but it's been incredibly unseasonably warm in the District lately. I can't wait for the first snow day!!!

I need to start my holiday cards and these would be lovely!

My favorite thing is having friends and family over. Talking over a good meal or a sweet treat! Being surrounded by loved ones is what I love about the holidays.

Love that my ever-expanding family --- aged 9 months to 90 years! ---- gathers for a few hours for a Christmas day dinner.
Also, in today's hectic world I still enjoy sending Christmas cards to friends near and far.

What beautiful cards!
The best way for me to get into the holiday spirit and have a bit of holiday cheer is putting up the Christmas tree which we do December 1st.

great giveaway!! i love love love the "under the sea" card!!
my favorite part of this season is the connections i make with strangers: baggers at the grocery, people at the post office, standing in line. people are rosier-cheeked this time of year, and i notice i'm able to make more meaningful small talk, eye contact, smiles. makes for a brighter day for all.

My husband's mother has been collecting nutcrackers for him since he was little. He loved them when he was young, but I think it was really her special thing for him. They have now become ours. Over 60 nutcrackers. At first I was hesitant to use them all, but they have made the best Christmas decorations dispersed throught our home. He has a story for most of them and I can't help but look forward to our future children finding excitment in getting out the nutcrackers at Christmas time.
Love the cards!

Great cards! My favorite thing about the holidays is the general energy- people are in good moods (except when shopping on Black Friday lol) and there's just a happiness in the air :)

I love the idea of friends getting together, lots of magic sparkly lights, fabulous wreaths and everyone being nice to one another - why can't they be like this all year round?

I love Christmas cards ~ sending them and receiving them! It is probably the one time of year that I am in touch with people that I lose touch with due to busy lives during the rest of the year.

My two little boys are 4 and 2, and this Christmas season I have been feeling a sense of excitement and cheer that I have not felt since I was little myself. I think that knowing that they can appreciate the joy of the season, and that they can do so on a level only children can, has given me a boost of the Christmas spirit myself. All of the accoutrements of Christmas: decorating the house like crazy, baking Christmas cookies, inviting people over for parties and exchanges, doing a secret Santa for a neighbor . . . it all has taken on the dimension of creating a magical world for my kids--a little world that somehow disappears all too soon as they get too big, but one they can always go back to in their little memories. That brings me Christmas cheer.

Every year we sit down as a family and talk about what we really want to do during the holiday season.

I love it when mixed in with the standard holiday activities is something totally random like "eat waffles". Amidst all the holiday madness it is always funny what the kids really want from the holidays, so the act of hearing their ideas for a great holiday is like the beginning of the holiday season for us.

I think experiencing everything once again through the eyes of my 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son make the holidays especially memorable. This year we're adding in some community service to hopefully make the spirit of giving come alive even more. Love your blog and the cards you featured!
