Happy Wet Dogs and Other Sightings

Happy Wet Dogs, Crescent Beach

My family and I traveled to Oregon for Spring Break. I know.... most people flee to warmer climes...Mexico, Florida, the Caribbean. But we had other things in mind. Things that involved dogs and lots of running. After all...they were sorely in need of a vacation from all of the sleeping, digging, eating and sleeping.
Here are a few things we discovered on our adventures:

Rippling Sand with a Mirror-like Finish

Freedom...however brief

Strange and Wonderful Creatures

Ethereal Herds

Rain Forest Cascades

Moss Gathering Stones

Paths Less Traveled

Blooms in the Gloom

Loftier Heights

Solitary Thoughts

River Sprites

Greener Ideas

Lazy Grazers

Wild Beasts

Crystal Crags

And......Misty Mysteries

It looks like the perfect holiday. For all of you!
We are heading to my favourite island for my birthday tomorrow! Edward, too! We both adore the beach... after the sun fades of course!

Glorious photographs! What are those white creatures?

Yep...looks perfect! But please tell me the ethereal creatures and other pale and anemic looking animals were behind carefully hidden fences.

Otherwise I would worry.

All night.

Hi Pamela!
The White Creatures are Fallow Deer. Aren't they the most beautiful things?!

Hi Karena-
It was truly wonderful and inspiring. :)

Linda-
Not to worry! The white creatures are safely behind tall fences at the Wild Animal Park north of Grants Pass Oregon.....same with the cuddly BEAR! Hehe!

Unbelievable beauty. I had heard of fallow dear, but had never seen a photo of them. So beautiful. What a wonderful vacation. Thanks for sharing.

Katie...you were kind of up in my neck of the woods...I recognized the NW immediately. Looks like you all had a lovely time...pups included, and it seems the weather didn't treat you to bad either.

Great shots of the animals and scenery...thanks for sharing!

I have so many photos of my dogs running on the beach just like this. It's always one of the happiest moments to see them enjoying themselves in the waves. Even if I'm standing in the rain...at least I get to wear my wellies ;)

That water looked so crystal clear we were reminded of how thirsty we were and actually had to go get a drink. It may not have been tropical but it sure looked tranquil!
