Pink Projects

Pink Project:  My Daughter's Room

October .....Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Many of us have daughters, and we would all like them to be aware of how to prevent breast cancer. We want them to eat healthy foods, exercise, sleep well, and learn how to perform a self examination.

We would also like to instill in our daughters a sense of social awareness and responsibility about the issue of Breast Cancer and how it affects us all and how we can all help.

Patricia of Mrs. Blandings blog has reminded me to celebrate this awareness by spreading the word. Be sure to hop over and say hello, and check out her list of other bloggers participating today by "posting pink".

My Daughter's Pink Bedroom

I hope you will join me in celebrating the bravery of women and men who struggle, live with and overcome this disease.

Another Pink Project

Perhaps you can start your own Pink Project by running a race for the cure, donating your time or opening your pocketbook.

For more information on how you can help, check out these websites:  Susan G. Komen , the American Cancer Society, and the National Cancer Institute.

Go Pink!

Your daughters bedroom turned out so great!! I love the light in there on the sheers.

Your pendant lights are...well...just the best. It's all about the bulb...love them.

Best,

Love the pink room and that great accent over the bed. This is a great way to spread the word and for us all to be reminded what we can do to prevent breast cancer.

Love your daughter's bedroom - it successfully walks that fine line between pretty and cool. The hanging really makes it I think - tones down the girliness to an appropriately hip level. Will try and think of a pink post also - for a very worthy cause.
