Gone for three weeks on her first trip to Europe, she will be home tomorrow. She will be a different person. She will have grown by leaps and bounds. I can hardly wait to meet her.
Oh wow, I love this. Well said and I can so relate. I felt this way when my oldest daughter first went away to school. And then watched my youngest grow and change as she went off to experience the world as well.
Be sure to have one of her ol favorites around...they love the comfort of home when they arrive! Her new side will be familiar, just more evolved. Have fun! L.
What a breathtaking tribute to your most beloved daughter. Ah, that first, unaccompanied trip to Europe -- I remember it well. Wide-eyed and 15, first Oxford then Paris. She will indeed return forever changed -- emerged from the chrysalis a wizened, ripened butterfly. Weep not, for this is but the beginning of her many-splendored life. Hope your reunion is sweet. Cheers and best, Alcira
She will indeed be changed. How wonderful for her and for you. My daughter comes home from Tanzania after four weeks this Friday. She is 16. I have already heard the change in her email. To the daughters in our lives and the future.
Katie Denham. Here is where I chronicle my travels through the world of design and style: the people I have met or would like to meet, places that fascinate, books that intrigue, creations that uplift. I love it all! So..."Go Decorate your Life!" as seen from a Dove chocolate wrapper.

Love this sentiment. I am at a similar place with my daughter - this time is such a gift isn't it?
Your missing your daughter and looking forward to her return and growth makes me miss having a daughter. Enjoy all she has learned in foreign lands.
Cheers,
Claudia

Indeed, she will be changed, but so wiser and deeper in spirit--and she will be so happy to be home. Mary
